Privacy Policy

This page describes how RemoteGeek Hub handles information you submit through the website. It is general information for an Ireland/EU-oriented site and is not legal advice.

Last updated: 13 August 2026.

Who we are

RemoteGeek Hub (“we”, “us”) operates this website (https://remotegeekhub.com and related hosting domains such as Vercel preview/production URLs). The site is operated from an Ireland / EU context.

For privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, email hello@remotegeekhub.com. That inbox is the contact point for privacy matters for this website.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • Contact / project enquiry forms: name, email, project description, optional stage, challenge, timeline, budget comfort level, referral source, marketing attribution fields (such as UTM parameters and landing page path when present), and related form fields you choose to submit. These submissions are delivered through Formspree (or the configured form provider) to the inbox connected in that provider.
  • Newsletter / Builder Notes signup: email address and a signup source label (for example, which page you subscribed from). Today this stores your email via Formspree so we can contact you about Builder Notes. It is not yet a full mailing-list platform (no automated newsletter ESP is connected in this codebase).
  • AI tool inputs: text you enter into tools such as the Idea Validator, Cost Calculator, or PRD Generator. These tools run their core calculations and templates in your browser. Core tool processing does not send your idea, PRD, or cost inputs to OpenAI or another model provider. If you optionally request an emailed report, the content you choose to send may be transmitted through Formspree.
  • Analytics: if configured, optional Plausible and/or Google Analytics 4 receive aggregated usage events such as page views, tool starts/completions, and CTA clicks. Events may include non-personal context such as page path, page type, predefined option values (for example project stage or budget band), and campaign parameters (utm_*). We aim not to send email addresses, names, phone numbers, company names, or full free-text idea/PRD/project descriptions into analytics providers.
  • Acquisition metadata (session): when you arrive via a campaign link, the site may store first-touch UTM parameters, landing page path, and HTTP referrer in browser session storage so a later project enquiry can include acquisition context. This is limited to the current browser session and is not cross-device identity tracking.
  • Technical data: standard server or hosting logs that may include IP address, user agent, and request metadata when you visit the site (for example via Vercel).

Cookies and local storage

The site may use essential cookies or local/session storage for theme preference, local checklist progress, and first-touch campaign attribution during a visit.

Analytics scripts load only when production environment variables enable Plausible and/or Google Analytics. Plausible is typically designed to work without advertising cookies; Google Analytics commonly uses cookies. This site does not currently ship a cookie-consent banner. If Google Analytics (or another cookie-based analytics vendor) is enabled for visitors in the EU/UK, a consent mechanism should be added before relying on that configuration for production traffic.

Third-party services

Depending on configuration, submissions and traffic may be processed by:

  • Formspree — form and email delivery for enquiries, newsletter interest, and optional tool reports
  • Vercel — website hosting, CDN delivery, and related request logs
  • Optional Plausible Analytics and/or Google Analytics 4 — usage measurement when enabled via environment variables

Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Active vendors in production are whichever of the above are configured in the live environment.

Why we use the data

  • Respond to project enquiries and service requests
  • Store Builder Notes interest so we can follow up when newsletter delivery is ready
  • Improve the website and understand which tools and content are useful
  • Maintain security and prevent spam/abuse

Depending on the activity, we rely on: consent (for example newsletter signup and optional fields), legitimate interests (site security, spam prevention, and aggregated product improvement), and/or steps prior to a contract (responding to a project enquiry you send us).

Retention

  • Project / contact enquiries: kept while useful for follow-up, then deleted or anonymised within 24 months of the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for an active discussion or legal claim.
  • Newsletter / Builder Notes emails: kept until you ask to be removed, or until we discontinue that list and delete the related records.
  • Optional emailed tool reports: treated like enquiry correspondence (same 24-month working window unless you request earlier deletion).
  • Browser tool inputs: processed in your browser for the session and not stored by RemoteGeek Hub unless you choose to email a report.
  • Analytics and hosting logs: retained according to the configured provider defaults (Plausible, Google Analytics, and/or Vercel) unless we set a shorter window in those dashboards.

To request deletion of enquiry or signup data we hold, email hello@remotegeekhub.com.

Your rights

If GDPR/UK GDPR or similar laws apply to you, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission). Contact us at hello@remotegeekhub.com to exercise applicable rights.

Children

The site is intended for professionals and adult builders. It is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the website or providers change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when material changes are published.
